Next Generation of Winemakers Has Something to Say
Healdsburg's Hop Kiln Winery has a youthful winemaker who makes the grade
One of the Russian River's oldest wineries has one of the youngest winemakers at the head of the class. Hop Kiln Winery is over 100 years old, but in this week's Wine Wednesday, Healdsburg Patch's Monique Soltani introduces us to Chuck Mansfield, an up-and-coming winemaker who says age is just a number.
Upcoming Wine Events:
Second Annual Single Vineyard Night, June 4th , 201, 6:30 to 10:00 p.m.
More than 30 winemakers and their grape grower partners will
present their small-lot, single vineyard wines paired with an array of single bites of food from local producers and restaurants. It's held at Thomas George Estates in Healdsburg. Last year’s inaugural event was a smash hit!
Visit the Russian River Valley Winegrowers site for a list of all participating wineries. Tickets are $45 in advance and online only at www.rrvw.org.

Hi Olivia!
Yes, dry farming is still around. I know that Paul Bernier is dry farming zinfandel off Canyon Road. I believe there are others, as well.
