In 1976, the Pitts family started growing grapes and they have since turned into one of the leading  small production high quality wineries in the Russian River.  In this week's Wine Wednesday, Healdsburg Patch's Monique Soltani introduces us to the family's next generation winemaker who's getting the job done by doing things a little differently.

According to Harvest Moon Winery, The Harvest Moon: the moon at and about the period of fullness that is nearest to the autumnal equinox.  In the legend of the Harvest moon, it is said that all full moons have their own special characteristics based primarily on the whereabouts of the ecliptic in the sky at the time of year that these moons are visible.
