Drought's Not Stopping 4th Annual Great Russian River Race!

But you may have to carry your boat over the riffles!

The 4th Annual Great Russian River Race is Saturday, May 3, hosted by Russian Riverkeeper.

The 5-mile race will include kayaks, canoes and SUPs, and because of lower flows will be limited to 200 racers.

Make sure to read ALL Race Details before signing up.

This race will be different from the previous three yeatr. Depending on how much rain there ist, the river flows could go as low as 35-50 csf by the first week of May.

This means that transitions between pools of the river will be extremely shallow, and boats will need to be carried over the riffles.

Free River Race Party!

The River Race Party is from noon to 4 p.m. and with live music by Cahoots and the Church Marching Band opening at noon.

There will be beer and wine, food trucks, kids activities, a costume contest among racers, and a Water Conservation Fair. The community is invited to come to the River, bring chairs and blankets and watch the racers cross the finish line from noon to 2 p.m.
