The oldest art gallery in Healdsburg, the Upstairs Art Gallery, owned and run by a group of local artists, is celebrating its 17th anniversary.
Seventeen years ago -- on June 28, 1997, to be exact -- Upstairs held its grand opening, breaking ground as the first Sonoma-area gallery to be run by artists.
On June 28, the gallery will celebrate with cake and 60 former "gallery owners" from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
