The Guarneri Double Quartet will appear in concert tomorrow to benefit the Healdsburg Jazz Festival.

4. Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Feb. 23: The Guarneri Double Quartet appears in a benefit concert “Jazz in the Gallery,” at the Healdsburg Center for the Arts. This concert will benefit the Healdsburg Jazz Festival. Limited seating—purchase tickets. $25/person 7:00pm 130 Plaza St. (This is the first of a series of three benefit concerts.)
5. Do you remember? When Washington’s Birthday was celebrated on the 22nd of February—his actual birth date? George Washington was born on this day in 1732. It was the first federal holiday to celebrate an American citizen. In 1971, under the “Uniform Monday Holiday Act” the holiday was moved to the third Monday in February and was combined with Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday (Feb. 12) into Presidents’ Day.
