Healdsburg Planning Commission Meeting Canceled

Artists and volunteers Healdsburg needs you!

1. Tonight’s Planning Commission meeting has been canceled. 

2. Do you like to drive and have time to offer a helping hand?  The Caryl Weis Transportation Program of the Sonoma County Council on Aging (COA), “is actively looking for volunteers from the Healdsburg area to help meet the growing needs of a newly launched transportation program.” This is a fee for service program that charges for coordination of the ride only. Interested in becoming a volunteer driver? Contact Michele Leonard, Director of Volunteer Services at 707-525-0143 x147.

4.  Are you filled with artistic flare? A new art show, Figure, Face and Form” will be held Mar. 2 – 28, 2011 at the Healdsburg Center for the Arts.  From the HCA website, “For centuries artists have turned to the figure to express their ideas, explore body image, self reference, emotions and imagination.  This show will explore aspects of the psyche and the human figure in various states of being. Artists are encouraged to give real and imagined interpretations of the human form. The show will be comprised of a spectrum of works, ranging from classic to whimsical interpretations.” This juried show will accept applications until Wed., Feb. 23.

5. Are they looking for you? LandPaths is looking for volunteers and interns. From their website, “’People Power’ in the form of volunteers and interns is an essential part of LandPaths' mission of connecting people with the land.  Whether in the office or on the trails, LandPaths has many ways for you to get involved as a volunteer.”  As a matter of fact, they are looking for a volunteer for Healdsburg Ridge.  Come on out to help!
