Meteorologists Promise Continued Sunshine

Get out and have some fun in Healdsburg!

1. Healdsburg Garden Club Picnic today (Monday) at 12:15pm. Potluck, good gardener awards and hat parade. Villa Chanticleer Annex, 1248 N. Fitch Mountain Rd.  After today, Garden Club meetings will begin again in the fall. Membership is $20.

2. Tuesday’s Planning Commission meeting is cancelled.

3. Retire old flags on Flag Day with the Sotoyome Squadron 111, Sons of The American Legion and the Healdsburg American Legion Family are proud to announce will be presenting a public flag retirement ceremony. 3. Another Tuesday event—the Center Literary Café presents Ethel Rohan and Lauren Black. Healdsburg Senior Center, Tues., June 14, 7 – 9pm, open mic.

4. Remember the Healdsburg Farmers’ Market Tuesday market is open. Fresh, ripe peaches, nectarines, strawberries and cherries. Zucchini and greens among many other vegetable selections. Cerri Building parking lot, 3-15 North St., 4 – 7pm.  The Saturday market is open from 9am -- 12noon at the corner of North and Vine.

5. Sonoma County Poet Laureate Gwynn O’Gara will be at the Healdsburg Literary Guild’s Third Sunday Salon. O’Gara has been published in CALYX, descant and The Evansville Review.  Her first book, Snake Woman Poems, was published in 1983. She has taught with California Poets in the Schools for 20 years.
