Out and About This Week in Healdsburg

City meetings, pizza and wine, and the event everyone is waiting for: The Healdsburg Water Carnival.

1. For the civic minded, attend the Healdsburg City Council/RDA meeting. On the agenda, under Old Business, “ Adopt resolution approving the acceptance of $28,816.68 from the Sonoma County Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Grant and amending the budget to appropriate the funds necessary for the purchase of Emergency Operations Center Equipment and the update to the City Emergency Operations Plan;  under New Business, “Consider adopting resolution discontinuing the practice of offering low income discounts of the monthly water and wastewater charges to qualified households.”  City Hall, 401 Grove St. 6:00pm

2. “Girls just wanna have fun.” If those lyrics keep running through your mind remember that through October, “Girls Night Out,” happens on the third Thursday of each month. From the Chamber’s website, [Find] “surprises at participating stores. Enjoy some food and drinks while getting in some quality "girl time"! Each store offers different goodies from discount coupons, free gift with purchase, raffle drawings and more! Look for the hot pink balloons. Downtown Healdsburg, Thurs., July 21, 5:00–8:00pm

3. Don’t miss your chance to see the Three remaining shows, Fri., July 22, Sat. July 23 8:00pm (doors open at 7:30) and Sun., July 24, 2:00 matinee (doors open at 1:30). Raven Performing Arts Theater, 115 North St.  Tickets $26 advance / $30 at the door
