Rain Totals Still Well Below Normal in Bay Area
Any chance of more precipitation is expected to end by Thursday afternoon, according to the weather service.

Even with a few more days of scattered showers in the forecast this week, rain totals around the Bay Area are still well below normal, a National Weather Service forecaster said Sunday.
As of Sunday, San Francisco's total precipitation for the 2013-2014 rainy season was 10 inches below average, meaning drought conditions were expected to persist around the region and throughout the state for the foreseeable future, NWS forecaster Steve Anderson said.
Scattered showers were forecast to keep the Bay Area wet on Monday and Wednesday, but total rainfall from both events is likely to be minimal, probably less than half an inch, Anderson said.
"It's not going to be a drought-buster by any means," he said.
Any chance of more precipitation is expected to end by Thursday afternoon, according to the weather service.
A ridge of high pressure is forecast to settle in over the region by the end of the week, bringing back dry weather and high temperatures starting on Friday, Anderson said.
