UPDATE: All Lanes Of Highway 101 In Windsor Back Open

All lanes opened at 1:57 pm.

By Bay City News Service

All northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101 in Windsor have reopened this afternoon after low-hanging wires caused the closure of the highway earlier today, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The highway was completely shut down for about an hour beginning around 11 a.m. when an excavation crew knocked down a power pole on Hembree Lane parallel to the highway, causing power and phone lines to droop across lanes of traffic.
