The pilot of a small privately-owned aircraft made an emergency landing north of Healdsburg Monday morning after the plane lost power. No injuries were reported.

The Healdsburg City Council on Monday voted to spend $500,000 on road improvements. The project aims to fix or repave streets and sidewalks that are cracked or in poor condition, the report said. The city will also improve conditions for cyclists.

A popular Healdsburg event is headed back to the Plaza. The Antiques Fair, which was moved to the site of the farmer's market earlier this year, will be held on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Plaza.

The Northern California Health Care Authority on Friday announced the appointment of Kurt Hahn as Interim Executive Director. Hahn will head the regional government agency with joint powers of five state-charted health care districts and hospitals spanning the counties of Sonoma, Mendocino and Humboldt including Healdsburg District Hospital.
