Monday, August 26          

A 21-year-old Point Reyes woman was killed in a crash near Sebastopol late Sunday night, a California Highway Patrol officer said this morning.

Tuesday, August 27

An infusion of state cash will help a Healdsburg medical group achieve its stated goal of serving the underserved.

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors announced the allocation of $561,924 to Healdsburg's Alliance Medical Center through the First 5 California, a state commission that recommends the allocation of resources benefiting children's health.

                                            

Wednesday, August 28       

A small earthquake rattled parts of Lake and Sonoma counties on Tuesday night.

The epicenter of the 3.8 magnitude quake was in Lake County, about 13 miles northeast of Healdsburg, according to the US Geological Survey. The quake occurred at 9:43 p.m.

 

Thursday, August 29 

The Healdsburg City Council lowered what were among Sonoma County's highest water and sewer connection rates in an effort to lure development.

 

Friday, August 30             

The Healdsburg Unified School District is investigating possible testing irregularities that they believe may have negatively skewed the results of test scores releasedon Thursday.
