What’s New And What You Need To Know This Week

On the calendar for this week from Memorial Day, Mon., May 30 through Sun., June 5.

1. Remember and honor those who have lost their lives serving in the military. Today.  .

2. Today is the last day of the spring-summer season at Russian River Rose Company. Attend “Tea and Memories” today (Memorial Day) from 10:00am – 5:00pm. Place a personal message on the “Memorial Wishing Tree.” $2.00 donation appreciated. 1685 Magnolia Dr.

3. The film, Made in L.A., is the next of the Healdsburg Peace Project’s political film series. From their announcement: “Made in L.A. follows the remarkable story of three Latina immigrants working in Los Angeles garment sweatshops as they embark on a three-year odyssey to win basic labor protections from a mega-trendy clothing retailer.” Thurs., June 2, 7:30pm, Healdsburg Senior Center, 133 Matheson St.

7.  Family campfire fun! It’s time for a campfire at Riverfront Regional Park, 7821 Eastside Rd., 6:30 – 8:00pm  You can’t beat the price: $1/person, $3/family, free with an annual parks’ membership.
