What's up this week?

The Chamber of Commerce 2011 Trade Show and Silent Auction is Wednesday.

1.  Healdsburg City Council/Redevelopment Agency Meeting tonight. On the agenda, under new business, “Discussion and direction to staff regarding the Parks and Recreation Commission vacancies.”  Council Chambers, City Hall, 401 Grove St., 6:00pm

2. The Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce’s 2011 Business Trade Show & Silent Auction.  From the Chamber’s press release, “It’s a trade show and more. In addition to the showcase of more than 50 area businesses, our event offers a Silent Auction, Fine Food Samplings, Service Demonstrations and a Free Parking Shuttle Service at Trinity Baptist Church parking area to and from the Villa.” Wed., Apr. 6, 4:00 – 5:00 Biz to Biz Rapid Network Session, 5:00 – 7:00pm Villa Chanticleer, Shuttle address: , 515 Powell Ave.

3. Although the 13th Annual Healdsburg Jazz Festival isn’t until June 3-12, tickets are now on sale.  The schedule can be found here. And tickets can be purchased here.

4. If you weren’t the lucky winner of the Madeleine Peyroux tickets, you can buy your tickets here for her U.S. tour opening concert. Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, 50 Mark West Springs Rd. Wed., Apr. 6, 8:00pm.

5. 2008-2009 Healdsburg Literary Laureate, Vilma Ginzberg, to give presentation at Sonoma County NAMI. From the National Alliance on Mental Illness Sonoma County flier: “Vilma Ginzberg, local poet and retired clinical psychologist, will present a program of memoir and poems based on her 35-plus years in the full-time practice of psychotherapy, and her retirement years consulting, training, and mentoring therapists and therapeutic programs. She will also be reading from, and signing, her chapbook called “Snake Pit.” Her focus will be on healing and recovery. Vilma has generously designated that all proceeds from the sale of her chapbook to go to NAMI Sonoma County.”  Thurs., Apr. 7, 6:00 – 7:00pm, 1300 Dutton Ave., Suite A, Santa Rosa
