20th Annual Russian Riverfest is This Saturday

Event is 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the river in Forestville.

 Music, food, wine and beer -- and the Russian River -- all await at this Saturday's 20th Annual Russian Riverfest.

The festival runs from 4:30- 7:30 p.m. at  Burke's Canoe Trips, 8600 River Road in Forestville.

According to the website, admission includes "an outstanding dinner, a great time with friends on the river, incredible music and world class organic wine and beer."

Chef Mike Matson of is cooking up quite a feast with the fresh organic veggies that were donated by Tierra, Green String and Oak Hill Farms, along with the local meats donated by

Music will be by Doug Lipton, Chris Amberger and Lorca Hart. A silent auction and environmental awards are also planned.

Organizers still need a few volunteers who can stay and help clean up from 7:30-8:30 p.m. To get on the volunteer email list for the Riverfest, please email Kate with "Riverfest Volunteer" in subject line. 

Advance tickets are available online for $25, $30 at the door. Kids under 12 free.
