African Song, Dance and Percussion Class

The Healdsburg Jazz Festial and Healdsburg Parks & Recreation team up to bring African drum and dance master Tacuma King back to teach this very popular workshop.

Students will learn to play hand drums and other percussion instruments, wiht an emphasis on learning rhythms from African and Caribbean cultures. Beginners and advanced students welcome during this six-week course. The classes are open to anyone ages 6 – 16, and held at the Healdsburg Jr. High Multi-Purpose Room.  Registration is now open; total cost is just $50 for this important musical education in a child’s life.
