Earth Day Festival in Healdsburg Plaza

The Healdsburg High School Progressive Club of will be presenting its 10th Annual Earth Day Festival in downtown Healdsburg.

Invited speakers include Congressional candidate Norman Solomon, KPFA’s Miguel Molina, the investigative journalists of Project Censored, Amy Jolly of the Climate Protection Campaign, Don McEnhill from Russian Riverkeeper, and 4th District Supervisor Mike McGuire.

Entertainment includes Hoytus and One Heart, Happy Accident, Hannah & Sky, The Hopheads, Floral, Attila Nagy, Bees Don’t See Blue, and the Jazz Hounds.

Guest speaker from the Committee for Immigrant Rights/North Bay Organizing Project, an additional student band, the Native Resistance Drum Group, Danza Azteca Xantotl, Yo Yo Man, Bagpipes and more.

More than 30 booths include environmental and social justice organizations.

There will be food for sale and a raffle. There will be Mother Earth/Father Sun’s Children’s Garden complete with free face painting and visits from Yo Yo Man (bring your yo yo).

There will also be an art show with student art available for purchase.
