The Third Sunday Salon, an ongoing program of the non-profit Healdsburg Literary Guild, meets the third Sunday of each month and features a featured literary presenter and open mic.
Susan Lamont is a landscape architect, a photographer, and a peace and social justice activist with the Peace & Justice Center of Sonoma County. She is on the collective which puts together the P&J Center's Peace Press, as well as the editorial board of the Occupied Press North Bay/Prensa Ocupada Bahia Norte. She is the Santa Rosa organizer of monthly readings for 100 Thousand Poets for Change.
She came to poetry late, neither reading nor writing it until in her late 50s. She was inspired to pursue poetry after an intuitive reading from Clara Rosemarda, who suggested she study with Terry Ehret. It was advice well-taken.
Open Mic sign-ups begin at 1:30 p.m.
