Healdsburg Senior Writing Project's Second Public Reading

On Sun., Jan. 22, 2012, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., members of Healdsburg Senior Writing Project will read from their memoirs at an all-community event at the Healdsburg Senior Center at 133 Matheson St.

The group of 17 authors have been working on their personal memoirs together for a year. The Project will soon culminate in a published anthology of the group's combined life stories which will be available for purchase.

"Members of the group have fascinating personal histories and several of them are from different countries or have traveled the globe," says Shonnie Brown, project director. "I have been amazed at how interesting our authors are and how well they can write."

Participants will read from their own works on subjects such as Childhood Memories, Healdsburg Past, World War II, Family Life, Changing Times and Winter Stories.

Everyone is invited to attend. The last HSWP event was standing room only, so please come early.

Refreshments will be served.

A $5.00 donation is appreciated, but not required and will go towards publication of the group's anthology.
