Friends of the Healdsburg Library in association with the Healdsburg Museum and its curator, Holly Hoods, will present a collection of Healdsburg's Artistic Heritage in the Forum Room of the Library, 139 Piper Street. Opening reception is October 8 from 5 to 7 PM; the show will run from October 11 through October 28 and be open during the hours of 1 to 5 PM on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 1 to 6 PM on Wednesdays. In addition to showcasing watercolor works and oil paintings by local artists from the past 100 years, a diverse and eclectic array of three dimensional artifacts representing historic local arts and crafts including wood carving, stunning hand-painted signs, intricate Pomo woven baskets, handmade quilting, embroidery, and a hooked rug designed by Grace Hudson will also be displayed. The reception and art show are free and open to the public.
