The Lincoln Trio - A Free Community Concert

Chicago’s most celebrated chamber ensemble, the Lincoln Trio, will bring an amazingly diverse program to the Russian River Chamber Music series concert on Friday, February 10th at the Healdsburg Community Church, 1100 University in Healdsburg. Admission is FREE. Donations are appreciated.

The trio, which holds the position of “Ensemble-In-Residence” at the Music Institute of Chicago, will perform Dvorak’s much-loved “Dumky” Trio and Swiss composer Frank Martin’s exuberant Trio on Irish Folk Tunes. Also on their program will be short trios by two leading American composers. Pulitzer Prize and Grammy Award winning composer Jennifer Higdon’s Piano Trio (1962) will be heard as well as a trio titled “Silver Daggers” (1969) by Stacey Garrop.

Praised for their “joy of sheer technical ability and beautiful sound”, the Lincoln Trio has performed throughout North America, Europe, and the Far East. Each member of the trio is an artist of international renown. Described by reviewers as “dazzling”, “incredible”, “thrilling”, “superb”, the Lincoln Trio promises to be a highlight of the current RRCM Season.
