The Mickey Hart Band

Percussionist Mickey Hart, formerly one of the dual drummers in psychedelic rock stalwarts The Grateful Dead, is beating a pathway into Healdsburg with his new group, The Mickey Hart Band.

Hart  has long studied and collected percussion and even helped invent a couple of percussive instruments with the Dead in the ’80s. The new Band has a "cosmic nature" (Mickey has reportedly been working alongside NASA for the past few years to sample signals of light waves from transmitters around the world) with new percussion-heavy, sound-vibration-inspired songs.  Some of those old greatDead songs may just vibrate through the show, too.

"Mickey Hart is nothing short of a musical genius and it shines through in everything he does." Steve Brienza, jambands.com
