The spring book sale for the Friends of the Healdsburg Library gets underway this afternoon, Wednesday, with a preview sale for members only. Between 1 and 6 p.m., FOHL members are given exclusive access to the hundreds, nay, thousands of books on sale in the library’s Forum room at 139 Piper St.
Prospective members can join at the door, and become instantly eligible to shop for the latest additions to their personal libraries. Cookbooks, travel books, best-sellers, children’s books, the obscure and the popular are always available at the Friends of the Library book sales for exceptionally reasonable prices – just $2. CDs for both books and music, DVDs., and other book-related gifts are abundantly available.
Membership in the Friends of the Library is only $5 per calendar year, so now’s the time to join for 2013. Dues help pay for newsletters, annual meetings, special programs and of course the book sales.
Or you can join the 100 other Lifetime Members for whom a single $100 donation entitles them to permanent status.
The FOHL Spring Book sale continues through Saturday, March 23, open to the public all days, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Saturday’s sale hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and after noon it’s “Bag Sale” time, a bagful of books for only $5.
See you at the Library.
