Great Russian River Race is Today

Canoe, kayak or surfski your way to river fun! Or hang out at the beach!


Today:

The Great Russian River  Race will stage two races for canoes, kayaks and surfskis. A 15 mile race for seasoned paddlers will put in at Alexander Valley  and end at Memorial Beach, and a second 5 mile race will start at Rio Lindo, ending at the Beach.  Everyone is invited to watch the race and join the fun at the free-admission Race Party at Memorial Beach from 11am to 5pm featuring live music, kids activities, vendor and sponsor booths. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Saturday:  

Join this great family night with games, jumpies, rock wall, delicious food and a movie...all outdoors on the football field. Come support the Bulldogs and have a great time too! All proceeds will be going towards scholarships for football players and cheerleaders for the 2011 season!

If you go: is located at 540 University St. in Healdsburg. The gate opens at 5:30pm and continues until 10 pm.

H-Town Youth Theatre presents: Alice in Wonderland Jr. Join Alice's madcap adventures in Wonderland as she chases the White Rabbit, races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with the Tweedles, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar, and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game! Roles are plentiful, including three Cheshire Cats and dozens of other wonderfully wacky characters. This fast-paced stage adaptation of Alice in Wonderland features updated dialogue and new arrangements of such classic Disney songs as "I'm Late," "The Un-birthday Song" and "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah."

If you go: The show is at the located at 115 North St. in Healdsburg. Tickets are $10 at the door and the show starts at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
