Rodney Strong takes going green to the extreme.
In honor of Earth Day Rodney Strong Vineyards is encouraging you to make a small change in order to make a big difference. In this week's , Healdsburg Patch's shows us how the local winery is challenging you to change.
- Compact fluorescents emit the same light as classic incandescents but use 75% or 80% less electricity, and last up to 10 times longer.
- If every household in Sonoma County replaced just one bulb, it would save nearly 124 million pounds of CO2 per year.
- If every household in California replaced just one bulb, it would save over 8 billion pounds of CO2 from being released.
- And if every household in the country swapped just one ordinary bulb for an energy-efficient bulb, it would save nearly 77 billion lbs of CO2 from being released.
