'The Majestic Kid' opens at the Raven

Performances continue Sat. 8 p.m., Sun. 2 p.m.

Healdsburg's Raven Players opened Friday night with their new show, "The Majestic Kid."

The show is at the through Sunday, and continues next weekend.

"Majestic Kid" is about Aaron Weiss, who comes to the southwest to help the Apache tribe save their land from being turned into a toxic waste dump, but runs afoul of the most powerful man in the territory.

As a kid, Aaron fantasized that he was the "Majestic Kid," a character based on his childhood movie idol, the Laredo Kid. Laredo reappears, only to Aaron, to mentor him. and in the end Aaron learns important life lessons.

Adults: $20 advance, $23 door
Seniors: $15 advance, $18 door
