It's another happening month in Healdsburg with "Jazz in the Lobby" at the Hotel Healdsburg (see below) every Friday and Saturday - plus an extra night of music on Sunday, Sept. 4 to make your Labor Day Weekend even better.

Saturday, September 24 see The Klein Trio with Mike and Spike Klein (piano, drums) and Trevor Kinsel (bass) as they present fresh interpretations of jazz classics. It's at Ferrari-Carano's tasting room Seasons of the Vineyard, 113 Plaza St., Healdsburg.

Sunday Jazz in Cloverdale

The Jazz Bug is spreading! Every Sunday night in Cloverdale, you'll find the Gary Johnson Quartet holding forth at Ruth McGowan's Brewpub, 131 E. First St. As well as Gary Johnson on sax, you'll find other local favorites on the bandstand including Christian Foley (guitar), Greg Hester (piano), Carol Shumate (bass) and Tom Scott (drums). Sets begin at 6 and 7 pm; "The food is great and so is the beer," Gary tells us. Call 707-894-9610 for more information.

Jazz at the Uptown
