Karen Neuberger of Healdsburg, who sent in some photos of July 4th decorations, said she's "turning our Healdsburg home into Camp Lake Wine.begon," she writes."And I'm the camp director."

"Friends from Marin staying the weekend for activities such as picnic at Lake Sonoma, canoe trip on the river, many great dinners and of course the fireworks," Neuberger says.  "Christmas lights have turned into 4th celebration around pool and olive grove."

Jay and Lynne Rosenthal started out with two banners at their front door 14 years ago. Now, the whole house, on Piper Street near the downtown area, is a red, white and blue showplace.

"We put them up on Saturday (June 25)," Jay Rosenthal said. "We do the Fourth and we do Halloween."
