This is the exact reason that we are always pushing to Shop Local.
It has been a really tough year for Realtors, and we can still all rally to get together to raise money for those that really need us. I love the term "co-petition:" The undying spirit to rally with competitors for the greater good.

This goes way deeper than this money and golf thing. The folks at Meals on Wheels are angels -- angels who are reaching out to those that are homebound.
This has proven to be a lifesaving service. These angels have found folks in such distress that if they had not been calling on these folks on a daily basis we would have lost some.
We are also seeing a changed face at the Food Pantry. It is still thought by many that this is just a place for free food for those that are looking for a hand out.
The average client at the food pantry today is a blue collar head of household who is working multiple jobs.
I know things are tough today for a lot of folks. A little can go a long way. Five to 10 dollars to any of our non-profits does go a long ways.
will be holding their Pancake Breakfast on Palm Sunday and it is only $7 for adults and $4 for kids. will be having a big fundraiser on St. Pattie's Day and any amount of money will help.
is having a big fundraiser at and all donations are welcome. If you are at any of these events and drop off an extra five bucks, you are changing the world.
That $7 for the Pancake Breakfast ticket turned into an $1,100 donation from Kiwanis to our golf tournament. Rotary and Soroptomist also donated equal amounts that generated $10,400 for those in need. That $7 can go a really long way.
