Average Commute Time in Healdsburg Just 22 Minutes

That's well under the national average of 25.5, according to an online team at a radio station in New York that used the U.S. Census to create an interactive map

The average commuter in Healdsburg spends about 22 minutes driving each way between home and work every day, according to the above interactive map designed by the WNYC radio station. That means we have it pretty good.

Commute times are higher in Sonoma Valley, and in Petaluma they are even higher.

The WNYC map shows how one-way commute times can vary by a minute or two depending on which side of town you live on. The average commute time from Cloverdale at 95425 is almost five minutes longer - 27.7 minutes - while the commute from Windsor is 23.2 minutes.

Census figures show that about 8.1 percent of U.S. workers have commutes that are one hour or longer and nearly 600,000 full-time workers had "megacommutes" of at least 90 minutes and 50 miles.

The average one-way daily commute for workers across the country is 25.5 minutes, and one in four commuters leave their county to work.
