Costeaux Breads Get 'Best of Show' at Sonoma County Harvest Fair

Healdsburg bakery won a double gold and gold medals for 14 baked goods.

 

Costeaux French Bakery in Healdsburg has earned top accolades at the Sonoma Country Harvest Fair. 

Costeaux earned 'Best of Show' awards for its EPI (a sourdough loaf shaped like a sheaf of wheat) and Multigrain Batard (nine whole grains).

The bakery will showcase its breads and be presented with their awards on Friday, Oct. 5 at the Harvest Grand Tasting (open to the public) at Grace Pavilion in Santa Rosa.

This year marks the fourth time that the multigrain batard has earned the Best of Show award.

“We are thrilled to have earned both top awards," said William Seppi, general manager. "It is a testament to the abilities of our professional baking team in producing quality baked goods consistently – year in and year out.”

Costeaux won a double gold and gold medals for 14 baked goods including the heavy duty walnut cinnamon bread, as well as morning pastries including the bearclaw, blackberry and almond croissants (all made with 100 percemt butter) and other hearth breads including the walnut baguette, sourdough boule, ciabatta, sour deli roll, cranberry walnut loaf and seeded sourdough batard.
