Cyrus Closure Leads to New Life for Doug Keane

After 7 years as a star chef, Keane offers insight during Cyrus's last days.

 

the last days of Cyrus restaurant were packed with much activity as diners rushed in for one last meal at the Michelin two-star restaurant.

That included a crush of media, who, like Patch, chronicled the last days, including the purchase of a massive truffle that was portioned out to last-chance patrons.

Now, the San Francisco Chronicle has published its own report on the closing of Cyrus and the ruminations of chef-owner Doug Keane.

According to the Chronicle, the two-star rating was wonderful, but it carried a certain amount of stress.

Doug - I personally loved "the phone." It made me feel personally tended to. If you open another high-end place, forget the reviewers and bring back the phone!
