Healdsburg Bar & Grill, Shimo's and Cyrus to hold 3 Japan relief fundraisers starting Tuesday

Chef Douglas Keane's 3 Healdsburg restaurants set events starting March 29, at Healdsburg Bar & Grill.

 In the wake of the disastrous earthquake in Japan, Chef Douglas Keane is opening his three Healdsburg restaurants to raise money for the Northern Japan Relief Fund set up by the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California.

Here are the details:

1. Tuesday, March 29, 7 p.m., Healdsburg Bar & Grill, 245 Healdsburg Ave.

A series of three fundraisers begins Tuesday, March 29 at (“HBG”),  245 Healdsburg Ave. 

Admission is $20 at the door,  which includes two beer or wine tickets, bar food and karaoke by local Fizz Nik Rick from 7-10 p.m.

2. Monday, April 4, 6 p.m. Shimo Modern Steak, 241 Healdsburg Ave.

On Monday, April 4 at 241 Healdsburg Ave. for $40/person, from 6-9 p.m., local chefs  from Diavola, , Shimo, and more will serve  great food donated by the restaurants and wines donated by Paul Hobbs Winery, Roederer Estate and  Stuhlmuller Vineyards.

3. Tuesday, April 19, 6 p.m., Cyrus, 29 North St. (Starts at Shimo's, 241 Healdsburg Ave.)

On Tuesday, April 19, at 29 North St. for $450, there will be a guest extraordinary culinary event with star chefs: David Kinch, Manresa;  Corey Lee, Benu; James Syhabout, Commis; Michael Cimarusti, Providence; and Nicole Plue and Douglas Keane, Cyrus. 

A 6 p.m. reception at Shimo's will be held preceeding the dinner at Cyrus. Reception will  feature the chefs, who will serve sushi, sake and Champagne.

After that, guests will go to  for a luxurious tasting menu paired with fine wines including Bond, Williams Seylem, and Littorai --all inclusive of gratuity and tax.
