Healdsburg-based Portalupi Winery entered six wines in the annual San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition this year, and all six took home medals.

The winery won double gold for its 2012 Barbera - Shake Ridge and 2012 Zinfandel - Russian River Valley; gold for its 2012 Old Vine Zinfandel - Dolinsek Ranch; silver for its 2012 Pinot Noir - Russian River Valley and 2012 Pinot Noir - Dolinsek Ranch; and bronze for a 2012 Pinot Noir - Sonoma Coast.

“We are grateful to the San Francisco Wine Competition for this recognition and proud of our family, partners and growers who made these medals possible,” a press release quoted winemaker Tim Borges as saying.

The winery will be among the competitors pouring their wines at the Chronicle's public tasting, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 15 at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco. Tickets are available online here.

In all, 5,825 wines from 1,500 wineries in 25 states were entered in the Chronicle's annual competition–a new record.

Portalupi Winery's tasting room is located at 107 North St. in Healdsburg.
