'Johnny's' Site to Become 'Louisiana Legacy'

Chef leaks news at Mardi Gras celebration Tuesday.

 

As soon as John Gavello, proprietor of announced earlier this month he take over the "Johnny's" location at 60 Mill St. on  the south end of town.

One Patch commenter suggested that move in there, after it was reported that the venerable watering hole was losing its lease. However, they will keep the pub intact.

Then, on Tuesday, at celebration, guest chef Rob Lippincott told Patch reporter that he was thinking of opening a Cajun cuisine restaurant at the Johnny's spot, but it was not yet final.

Two days later, the Press Democrat is reporting it as a done deal.
