New Orleans-style restaurant gets good buzz.

As we reported earlier this year, is taking over the Mill Street building formerly housing Johnny's Off the Plaza in Healdsburg.

Now, while we were otherwise preoccupied with the presidential debates and the SF Giants in the playoffs and now the World Series, The Parish Cafe quietly opened to rave reviews, according to the blog BiteClubEats.

I enjoyed a shrimp Po'Boy at Parish Cafe yesterday. I had just left Wm. Selyem winery and was looking for someplace new to dine before heading back to the east bay. The sandwich was just plain good. It came fully dressed(mayo, lettuce, tomato&pickles), it needed nothing else. I would return there just to eat again. what a gem. And the prices are very reasonable. Next time beignets. The staff is quite friendly and the owner is the chef. NOLA meets no.cal, and does it right.
