Say it ain't so, Nick!

Nick Young Leaving Healdsburg Chamber Of Commerce -- will stay in Healdsburg, however.

If you have stopped by the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center in the past five and a half years, you have probably been greeted by Nick Young.

Young, 33, has been the visitors and information "go-to person" at the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce during that time. He also has managed calendars, mailing lists and newsletters, for the Chamber, the Chamber website, organizing local events and day-to-day questions and requests from business owners and tourists alike.

Young is leaving his post this week to take a new job at Wine Industries Network in Healdsburg. Wine Industries Network is like the chamber of commerce of the wine industry -- but they work with wine industry promotion, tourism and economic development and equipment specifically, as opposed to the general tourism and business focus of the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce.

Those who know Young -- and who have met him on the job -- say he will be missed.

“I saw the Visitors Center when we first pulled into town," said Mary Gladdis of Pinole. "We were staying at H2 right next door and Young was like our own concierge service.”
