The Fourth Annual Healdsburg Strolling Dine Around will feature some of the area's finest restaurants. Diners will build their own culinary adventure by choosing four courses (appetizer, first course, main dish and dessert) from 20 participating restaurants - each serving its own distinct cuisine.

Each course is 45 minutes. Between courses, diners will either stroll, or take a short drive to the next restaurant -- allowing time to enjoy the charm of downtown Healdsburg -- adorned beautifully for the holidays in December. It's an opportunity to relax, and get into the spirit of the season.

Hundreds of people have participated in the Strolling Dine Around each year, and it continues to grow, with an anticipated 400 attendees this year. Event coordinator Lori Moore said one of the reasons for the event's success is the diverse variety of dining options in Healdsburg.

"It's a golden opportunity for people to enjoy Healdsburg while experiencing cuisine from around the world, including a new Portuguese restaurant, Greek, Italian and more," Moore said. "There are also seafood and American options. It's shaping up to be our biggest and best event yet."

Based on the event, the time of year, and the good cause, people have given Strolling Dine Around tickets as an early gift for the holidays, or a unique employee bonus.

The four-course progressive Strolling Dine Around is Wednesday and Thursday evenings, December 5, 6, 12 and 13, 2012. Start times are 5:30 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. The cost is $89 per person (tax and gratuity included).

A confirmation of the reservation will be mailed to each attendee, along with a detailed map and guide to participating restaurants.

Visa and Mastercard are accepted, as are cash and checks, and purchases are final. Wine will be available for purchase at participating restaurants, and attendees may bring their own bottle. A standard corkage fee may apply.

The Strolling Dine Around is sponsored by the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, and the Wine Road Northern Sonoma County. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Healdsburg Shared Ministries Food Pantry and the North Coast Consortium Program.
