Ukiah 'Flower Guy' Columnist to Speak at Healdsburg Garden Club Monday

1 p.m. meeting is at Villa Chanticleer Annex

 

 

Wil Gonzalez, AIFD, the  “Hey Flower Guy!” columist for the Ukiah Daily Journal, will speak at the Healdsburg Garden Club meeting at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19.

The meeting will be at the Villa Chanticller Annex, 1248 N. Fitch Mtn. Road.

 Gonzalez is expected to speak about holiday decorations and offer tips for the holidays.

Gonzale'a home in Ukiah, Mendocino County CA is only two hours from his birthplace, San Francisco.

He’s an employee of Rainforest Fantasy Flower Shop, Ukiah, is Past President of the NW Chapter of the American Institute of Floral Designers, Past President of the Teleflora Northern Cal/Nev Education Unit and is Past President of the Ukiah Garden Club, he is a contributing writer for the local Ukiah Daily Journal as ‘Hey Flower Guy’.

And is a contributing designer in the annual Bouquets to Art Exhibit at the de Young Museum, Golden Gate Park. He enjoys floral competitions as competitor and judge. His dedication to his profession and community is demonstrated by his work nationally and with local fund-raising.

Striving for the Best of Himself in the floral industry makes him a sought after event/freelance designer, stage designer and floral commentator. At years end, you’ll find Wil in Southern California working as a Trophy winning Float Floral Designer at Fiesta Parade Floats.
