Geyser Peak Opens New Tasting Room in Healdsburg

Grand opening celebration is April 12.

Geyser Peak winery’s new tasting room is now open to the public on Magnolia Drive, marking a new period for the historic Sonoma County winery.

Geyser Peak’s new home boasts beautiful views and is conveniently near downtown Healdsburg at the beginning of Westside Road.

The newly renovated room is near Sonoma County sub-appellations from which Geyser Peak has made wine for many years, including Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley and Alexander Valley.

“Our tasting room team is happy to settle in such a beautiful area of Healdsburg with our relocation to Dry Creek Valley,” said Tanya Seibold, consumer direct sales director for Geyser Peak. “Our new winery home enables us to do more wine club events each year, and its close proximity to downtown Healdsburg gives our guests a wide variety of options when planning a day in Sonoma County wine country."

Geyser Peak has a long, colorful history in Sonoma County. Founded in 1880 by Augustus Quitzow, one of Sonoma County’s pioneer winemakers, Geyser Peak is California’s 29th bonded winery. Today, under long-time winemaker Ondine Chattan, it continues to be one of California’s most lauded wineries.

In June 2012, Geyser Peak was acquired by Accolade Wines, which made a major investment in revitalizing Geyser Peak, from winemaking to promotion with new packaging, a new logo, and new wines that showcase expertise with small-lot luxury wines.

The new site is at 2306 Magnolia Dr., Healdsburg, and open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
