Hazardous weather warning issued for North Bay

National Weather Service warning include North Coast, mountains and North Bay valleys.

A "hazardous weather" alert was issued for today and tonight by the National Weather Service for large portions of the San Francisco Bay Area.

In the North Bay, the warning includes the North Coast, mountains and interior valleys.

"A storm system will bring rain to the area tonight," the warning states. "Rain will be locally heavy in the coastal mountains."

According to the alert, showers will continue into Wednesday. Another system will move into the area on Thursday with moderate to heavy rain at times, it says

"The ground is already saturated from previous rains, so flooding of low lying urban areas, as well as small streams and creeks, is possible," the warning states.
