Healdsburg Memorial Bridge Rehabilitation Postponed A Year

The $12 million project to rehabilitate and retrofit the 92-year-old Healdsburg Memorial Bridge was put off until June 2014.

The Healdsburg Memorial Bridge was originally constructed in 1921 and, over time, the 92-year-old structure that sits over the Russian River has been in need of restoration.

According to a report in The Press Democrat, the undertaking of reviving the bridge was originally scheduled to begin last month, however, the Healdsburg City Council was given an update on Monday stating that the project would need to be delayed until June 2014.
