Motorcycle Pursuit Ends In Arrest

California Highway Patrol arrested and charged a motorcycle driver who was caught speeding on highway 101 near central Windsor.

On Sunday at approximately 10:15 p.m. a CHP unit was monitoring traffic on highway 101 near central Windsor when he observed a motorcycle at a high rate of speed. 

Radar confirmed that the Yamaha motorcycle was traveling at 112 mph. The officer overtook the motorcycle and attempted an enforcement stop.

The driver observed the patrol vehicle’s emergency lights and accelerated. The  driver exited at Dry Creek Rd, ran through the stop sign at the bottom of the exit, and continued onto northbound 101. 

The driver continued on northbound 101 at approximately 100 mph until finally pulling to the right shoulder at Lytton Springs Rd.

The officer contacted the driver, who was identified as Whitney Beck, 25, of Santa Rosa. 

The officer noted signs of intoxication and began a DUI investigation. Beck was subsequently arrested and charged with reckless evasion, DUI, and driving 30 mph over the posted limit while intoxicated.
