Pasta Dinner Tonight to Benefit Bereaved Family

Just over a week ago, a was found dead in his Healdsburg home. Since that time the community has shown its support for the bereaved family, and tonight they take it a step further.

The Healdsburg Bulldogs and za are combining resources to offer at Benefit Dinner for the family at the popular pizza parlor at Dry Creek Road and Healdsburg Avenue, from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday.

Since tonight's due to rain, this event may have an even greater turnout.

For $10, attendees will be served a pasta dinner, either on-site or take-out. A donation jar is also on the counter at the restaurant if customers wish to support the family in other ways.

"All the money goes to the family, 100 percent," said Michael Kennedy, manager of the diVine Pizza.

Earlier today, Healdsburg Unified School District Superintendent Jeff Harding said the high school and district are jointly grieving the loss.

"It's a real tragedy," Harding said. "I'm sure it impacts everyone within the Healdsburg High School community."

Harding said with school being out for the summer, it was not immediately clear if any steps would be taken to make changes internally in response to the death.

"We are monitoring the situation and will make any adjustments as we get more information," Harding said. "It's very tragic."
