Patch Contributor Receives Award for Wine Blog

Monique Soltani, creator of the Wineoh.tv video blog has received an award for best use of video on a wine blog at a bloggers conference in Portland.

Sonoma County wine blogger Monique Soltani, creator of the Wineoh.tv video blog, has received an award for her work.

Soltani, whose work has frequently appeared on Patch.com as , picked up an award for Best Original Video or Photography on a Wine Blog at the fifth annual Wine Bloggers Conference in Portland, Oregon Saturday.

"I'm so excited and honored to announce that Wine Oh TV WON Best Original Video- Wine Blog Awards 2012! Thank you to all of you who voted,” wrote Soltani on her Facebook page.

Soltani was one of nine wine bloggers selected for recognition out of more than 500 contenders.

Other wine blogs that received recognition include Jamie Goode’s Wine Blog, named Best Overall Wine Blog and Vinography, A Bay Area-based blog which won for Best Writing on Wine.

“These award-winners demonstrate the enormous talent operating within the wine blogosphere and the array of wine education, criticism and reporting that is available to consumers within this genre,” noted Awards organizer Joel Vincent.

“What’s exciting is the combination of experienced and new bloggers that are honored at our fifth annual awards, not to mention the really important contribution that wine blogs are making to the international conversation on wine and the wine industry.”
