Rep. Mike Thompson To Host Forum For Businesses In Sonoma County

U.S. Rep. Mike Thompson will host a forum for Sonoma County small businesses and non-profit organizations on the Affordable Care Act in Santa Rosa.

Several small businesses and non-profit organizations in Sonoma County have questions about how the Affordable Care Act will impact their company.

United States Representative Mike Thompson is preparing to conduct a forum in Santa Rosa on July 26 to answer all questions as it relates to the Affordable Care Act, the law’s implementation and its effects on small businesses and non-profits.

U.S. Health and Human Services Regional Director Herb Schultz and Small Business Administration Regional Director Mark Quinn will join Thompson at the forum.

The Affordable Care Act, commonly referred to as Obamacare, is aimed at increasing the affordability and rate of health insurance coverage for Americans and reducing the overall costs of health care.

Very soon, the rest of the Affordable Care Act will go into effect and government officials want to educate consumer, business and non-profit leaders about the law’s impacts.

The forum will take place on Friday, July 26 at 9:30 a.m. at the Redwood Credit Union located at 3033 Cleveland Avenue Santa Rosa, CA.
