UPDATE: Sonoma Felon Among 65 Granted Pardons
Past crimes included drug possession, drug sales, robbery and vehicular manslaughter

Nearly a dozen Bay Area felons were granted gubernatorial pardons over the weekend. They will have their full rights as citizens restored, including the right to vote, according to documents released by the governor's office on Saturday.
Eleven Bay Area men and women from Santa Clara, Contra Costa, Alameda, Solano, and Sonoma counties were among the 65 pardoned by Gov. Jerry Brown on the day before Easter.

Their past crimes included drug possession, drug sales, robbery and vehicular manslaughter, according to the governor's office.
UPDATE: The Press Democra has identified the Sonoma County man as Jerry Victor Hall, 47, who was sentenced for possession of narcoties in 1990. He served four years in prison, and three years probation. according to a proclamation signed by Gov. Brown, Hall has paid his debt to society.

Gov. Brown issued the full pardons to convicts who have "demonstrated exemplary behavior" since being released from prison.
"Obtaining a pardon is a distinct achievement based on proof of a productive and law-abiding life following conviction," a statement from the governor's office said.
All individuals granted pardons have completed their sentences and were released from custody without criminal activity for more than a decade.
