Steelhead Fest Kicks Off with Salmon Dinner

Over 200 fishing enthusiasts and other friends of rivers dined at Villa Chanticleer while steelhead legend Lani Waller made a rare appearance.

It was the first event of the annual , a Friday night feast at . Guest speaker Lani Waller, noted steelhead fisherman, author and filmmaker, regaled the audience with tales and images of 40-some years of the natural life of a fisherman.

The Wild Steelhead Festival, presented by Redwood Empire Trout Unlimited, continues all weekend, with a full day in the Plaza on Saturday and a family-friendly gathering at Lake Sonoma Visitor's Center on Friday. For more information, visit their web page.
