Announcing The Year's Most Popular Stories on Healdsburg Patch

Here's this year's list of popular Patch stories, from meteor showers to fantasy football.

This marks the end of Healdsburg Patch's second full year bringing local news to local people, and we're pretty happy with the way things are going. Just look at our list of the Top Ten (actually, there are 11) stories of the past year. We've added an 11th because the first one is a primarily a video, and there is a tie for eighth place.

It's an intriguing list, showing a range of topics that reflect the variety of local interests. From space exploration to celebrity sightings, controversial ballot initiatives and politics, and a couple stories about local business owners.

Here's a recap of the biggest news of the year, ranked by how many people clicked through to read the stories.

Surprised all the Animal Shelter drama didn't make the cut.

Hi: Some comments about the articles included in this list have been deleted in an effort to avoid confusion. First, regarding the animal shelter stories, many of those -- especially the widely read, high profile articles -- were published in December 2011, which probably accounts for them not being in the 2012 list. Second, the story list above is based on number of page views for each article posted on Healdsburg Patch -- even if the articles were generated at other Patch sites. Sometimes -- but not always -- you can see where the article originated by clicking on the byline of the author. The articles from other Patch sites are posted on Healdsburg Patch if they have some relevance to our readers (i.e. "Is the Prop. 37 GMO fight over?") or if there may be a general interest in that topic (i.e. Space Shuttle, Lady Gaga, etc.). That does not take away from our continuing interest in hyperlocal Healdsburg coverage. We are dedicated to serving this community as best we can. Sometimes that includes a mix of local, regional and national stories as appropriate. Hope that helps answer any questions about this list. Thanks.

These offices look great! I would love to have taken a look, but I don't live close enough to theRead More area. I was looking for spaces out in Toronto, and started looking at for office space for rent via http://www.theprofessionalcentre.com. But, again, your spaces look really nice, affordable, and would have done the job well. :)
