Realtors in Action

When you use a local Realtor, you get the benefit of hyperlocal information about the schools, businesses, events, activities and the real stuff that will benefit you for years to come.

The way the Realtors gain local knowledge is from being active in their communities. Realtors spend a lot of hours volunteering for a wide variety of local benefactors.

For example, on Thursday, Nov. 3 at noon, the will be hosting their annual golf tournament at .

Money raised from this annual event is donated to Meals on Wheels of Sonoma County and

Last year, NCCS donated more than $10,000 to these great organizations.

The event is public and all are invited to join the fun. To sign up, contact Mike Downs at the 707-331-8822. The fee is $60 or $200 for a foursome. There are hole sponsorships available!

The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. I will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs at noon prior to the start of the tournament for all to enjoy.

There will be a longest drive and closest to the pin contest. After the round, we will gather for the prizes, silent auction and to celebrate the victors.

Slight uptick in home prices predicted for next year

Interest rates are still low. According to Robert Kleinhenz,  Deputy Chief Economist for the California Association of Realtors, we are anticipating about a 1 percent increase in home prices this next calendar year.

We also expect that sales will increase by about 1.7 percent. Kleinhenz reports that the bottom of home values is clearly behind us. None of this is huge, but it is somewhat stable. Still a good time to purchase a home.
